โก Table Topics โ Designed by Bella
๐ Session Design
Bella's innovative TTM debut combined AI voice recognition (built by Warren) with impromptu speaking. Two formats: Object Speeches โ audience shouts "stop" to randomly select an object, speaker gets 20 seconds to think and 2 minutes to speak; Gift-Giving Role Plays โ pairs perform gift-giving scenarios without props. Bella's opening line set the tone: "Every great magician has a hidden assistant. Every hero has a trusty sidekick. Tonight AI is that silent partner."
Object: Teddy Bear
Connected teddy bears at home to her daughter studying abroad in the US. Core message: "When our children grow up, they move far away, but we all need to focus on our own lives." Clear structure, fully empathetic, the audience felt the emotional connection.
Evaluation by Yang (TTE1)
Praised the clear structure centered on her daughter, creating full empathy. Contrasted with another speaker's teacher story that lacked depth. Suggested standing at center stage and reducing screen glances for first-time speakers.
Object: A Bowl of Noodles
Shared lunch with her 100-year-old teacher eating Beijing zhajiang noodles. Extended to China's rich noodle culture across provinces.
Object: Handmade Cup
Made a cup for her mother on Mother's Day with "Mom, I love you forever" written on it. Mother was deeply moved though she didn't express it verbally.
Evaluation by Jianghua (TTE2)
Praised hand gestures, eye contact, and strong structure with the personal example. Suggested using fewer words for more concise delivery.
Object: Umbrella
Junior high in Beijing: 1-hour commute by subway, often caught in rain without an umbrella. School uniform (dark blue, light blue, white) made it easy to spot schoolmates. Asked to share umbrellas, made almost all subway-commuting friends over 3 years.
Evaluation by Jianghua (TTE2)
Praised zero-thinking-time improvisation showing great confidence. Noted significant improvement in facial expressions and eye contact compared to previous performances.
Birthday Guitar (Bella + Hunter) ยท 23rd Anniversary Lounge Chair (Teddy + Young) ยท Children's Day AI Moon Lamp (Jianghua + Partner)
Three pairs performed creative gift-giving scenarios. Highlights: Hunter's humor about "saving the best gift for my wife", the anniversary lounge chair sparking dreams of "snacks and beer on the chair", and the AI moon lamp discussion about AI's limits โ "AI empowers your life, but it won't make decisions for you."
Evaluation by Jianghua (TTE2)
Praised Eskar's natural delivery and logical persuasion. Suggested stronger conclusions. Noted topic selection is key for role-play chemistry.
๐ค Bella's TTM Closing
"It's not just about the tool, it's about how we connect, how we love, how we step outside of our comfort zone." Special thanks to Warren for building the AI voice recognition system. "The true power is inside this room โ it's in your courage, your voices and your connection. Keep shining everyone."
๐ค Prepared Speech
Pathways: Dynamic Leadership ยท Level 2-1 ยท Understanding Your Leadership Style
"Why GC Brain?"
Opened with two questions from members: Hunter asked how to vote without a questionnaire platform, and Eva asked how to record the golden quotes from every meeting. Then shared the story of his grandfather, a traditional Chinese medicine doctor who served neighbors without ever asking for payment. This led to the introduction of GC Brain in first person: "I am GC Brain. Nine people built me in their evenings and weekends. They never asked for money. I remember 33 meetings and 100 golden quotes." Demonstrated live query of Sarah's last speech. Acknowledged the homepage builder: "Because of her, we can hold meetings every week." Discussed licensing model โ timer tool already used by clubs in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Guangxi.
Evaluation by Yue (IE)
Praised the two interwoven stories (grandfather โ GC Brain) creating strong emotional resonance between reality and vision. Suggested stating the core question "Why GC Brain?" upfront to avoid losing the audience, completing the logic loop after the examples, and using images for the "guess who" interactive segment to engage the full audience.
๐ Reports
๐ Grammarian's Report โ Jeff
Word of the Day "empower" used frequently โ Bella and Oscar twice each (best), Hunter once.
3 Common Errors:
1. Missing Articles: "go to United States" โ "go to the United States"; "get PhD" โ "get a PhD"
2. Preposition Errors: "handing me with the props" โ "handing me the props"; "express my love to my mother" โ "express my love for my mother"
3. Subject-Verb Agreement: "everyone like noodles" โ "everyone likes noodles"; "students who was" โ "students who were"
3 Self-Check Tips: Check articles before singular countable nouns; review verb+preposition collocations; verify subject-verb agreement with everyone/someone/collective nouns.
โฑ๏ธ Timer's Report โ Julie
Overall only 2 minutes behind schedule โ excellent time management. Guest introductions ran 3 minutes over (rich content). Table Topics finished with 2 minutes to spare. Individual overtimes: Bella +30s, Jianghua +10s, Yue +30s. Suggestion: Grammarian should pre-write report content before the meeting.
